Die-Cast Zinc vs. Thin Gauge Stamped Steel
Casablanca fans are distinguished by a rich finish and exceptional detailing. Using only high grade, virgin zinc (not re-melted scrap) with its high durability and corrosion resistance, Casablanca™ die-cast process allows fine detailing, and provides an excellent base for painting or plating. |

Casablanca may also use heavy gauge sheet metal in a forming process that supports intricate designs. Other fans use thin gauge, lightweight sheet metal parts which may compromise durability and detailing, and may be prone to noisy vibrations. |

Plating and Finish: Extra Steps, Rich Rewards
Casablanca fans exhibit a beautiful finish and color consistency, the natural outcome of an intensive preparation and finishing process used for major components. Casablanca performs 15 separate finishing steps under strict quality controls. The extra time and care help explain Casablanca™ brilliant, jewel-like finish that stands out from lesser quality fans. More durable as well, Casablanca components will never peel, blister or tarnish under normal operating conditions. The difference is in the details. Finishes that fail to meet Casablanca™ high standards may actually be acceptable to other fan companies. Casablanca also takes rigorous steps to ensure quality in its painting process. After extensive preparation procedures, Casablanca™powder coating process creates an even and uniform appearance. The extra steps help explain Casablanca™ rich luster, fade resistance, outstanding color intensity, and resistance to impact, corrosion and marring. Other less advanced finishes can be very fragile and peel away. The exposed steel is then subject to corrosion. |
